OUR CAMPAIGN OBJECTIVES

Today, we are the leading #1 Catholic co-educational day school in the state of Connecticut. To remain competitive, a leading educational experience must be supported by a “world class” facility and a robust needs-based scholarship program.

At this critical crossroads in our history, the Immaculate family must meet several objectives that will enhance both our physical facility and grounds as well as provide for much-needed scholarships for interested and deserving students into the future.

CAMPUS CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS                      $2M

Our facilities are utilized virtually 24-7 throughout the year. From the sheer volume of school-related learning, events and activities, through alumni, family and public events, use of our gymnasium, chapel, cafeteria, meeting spaces and more, the physical plant at Immaculate must stay up with needed capital improvements to our infrastructure.

At present, we are planning:

Updating and replacements of windows throughout our facility.Improvements to parking lots and access areas.Paving of roads and driveways throughout our plant.Improvements to our building and grounds.

ROBERT E. GERWIEN, SR. SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT                  $1M

We believe in the value of an Immaculate college-preparatory education to students in the 21st century global economy. As such, we strive diligently to contain the increasing costs of an education here, keeping an Immaculate education affordable for many families.

Yet, there are an increasing number of families and students in the 30 towns that we serve in western Connecticut and Westchester, New York that are finding it increasingly difficult to afford the kind of education they wish for their children.

To help ensure that any student that wishes an Immaculate education and needs financial assistance to make it happen, with the Immaculate Endowment portion of the Capital Campaign, we will be establishing the Robert E. Gerwien, Sr. Endowment.

From the annual interest on the initial investment, we will be able to fund much needed scholarships to students each year for the foreseeable future. We will accomplish this without the need to access the original principal funds of the trust investment.

ATHLETIC FIELDS ENHANCEMENT AND MAINTENANCE               $1M

Our fields, track and grounds have hosted decades of championship athletics and renown community events. Our fields are in need of upkeep and improvement to showcase our campus at its best, while helping to minimize increasing costs of maintenance and upkeep.

Maintaining excellent athletics fields and grounds helps Immaculate to maintain its best co-ed Catholic day school rating in an increasingly competitive climate.

ENHANCE OUR PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

Increasingly, our student population is participating in theatre, music and performing arts. It is the vision of our Board to meet the needs of this current phase of the Capital Campaign, while developing plans for a state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center at Immaculate in phase 2 to follow.
