CIAC Updates

In this challenging year, the administration hasn't missed a beat! They have our full confidence that every decision is made with the students best interest in mind. Immaculate distinguished itself by how prepared it was to continue to deliver a top education remotely. The school isn't reactive...it's proactive!

Distance Learning Highlights

Even though we were apart Immaculate’s cutting-edge technology, forward-thinking administration and extraordinary faculty continued to make an impact on our students. IHS has all the best qualities and values to be able to face the challenges of tomorrow head-on and come out of it even stronger! Below are just some highlights from our successful distance learning program.

Remote Learning

Remote Learning

During the global pandemic our students were learning from their homes, thanks to Immaculate’s well-established distance learning program. Our faculty and staff went above and beyond to provide lessons, services and activities for students.

Virtual Coffeehouse

Virtual Coffeehouse

While we were apart physically, IHS students were still able to share their talents! Using the latest technology, Immaculate’s Music Department and Tri-M Music Honor Society hosted a Virtual Coffeehouse to celebrate Music in Our Schools Month.

Health and Wellness

Health & Wellness

Virtual Physical Education was a tremendous success! Coach Bobby Plumb gave students strength training and cardiovascular exercises to do after classes. Students submitted videos or pictures of themselves completing their assignments.

Award Ceremony

Virtual Awards

This year the traditional IHS Awards Ceremony was held virtually so that we could honor and recognize all of our students for their great accomplishments and hard work over the school year, and pay a special tribute to seniors.

Rube Goldberg

Virtual Rube Goldberg

Mr. Tom Mertens and his AP Physics students continued their quest for knowledge through experiments at home by building individual Rube Goldberg machines.  This was a fun way to learn about the laws of physics!

Virtual Fine Arts Festival

Virtual Fine Arts Festival

Immaculate High School held its first ever Virtual Fine Arts Festival. This unique program showcases the artistic and musical talents of IHS students. Immerse yourself in galleries of original art, music, skits, magic and more.

Mass and Prayer Services

Virtual Mass & Prayer Service

IHS Chaplain, Deacon Jeff Font, offered Virtual Mass and Prayer Services for students, parents, alumni, faculty and staff. This allowed us to continuously celebrate our faith together as a community during an uncertain time.

Community Service

Community Service

Students are always eager to serve their community, maybe now more than ever. We have been providing our students with monthly service opportunities and the response has truly been incredible. There is never a shortage of volunteers.

Digital Choir

Digital Choir

These angelic voices will bring a smile to your face and fill you with hope. Choir Teacher, Mrs. Jen Doherty, did an outstanding job by not only  instructing students in our virtual environment but by recording and producing this wonderful video.

MustangCaravan

Mustang Caravan

The Mustang lead the caravan of IHS Administrators who went from door to door and delivered graduation signs, yearbooks, alumni t-shirts, goodie bags and extra Mustang spirit to each senior! Immaculate celebrates our amazing Class of 2020!

Class of 2020 Graduation

Virtual Graduation

Congratulations to the Class of 2020, who graduated on Saturday, June 13 at St. Rose of Lima Church in Newtown! We are so happy that you were able to be together one more time for such a momentous occasion! Once a Mustang, Always a Mustang!

Summer Workouts

Summer Workouts

Fall sports teams began their summer workouts and are hard at work preparing for the upcoming season. IHS Athletics created a workout schedule to accommodate all teams and ensure the safety and well being of all student athletes due to the pandemic.
