Scott ’81and Marianne ‘81 met at Immaculate High School over 40 years ago and have long been active in the Immaculate community. Scott, completed his undergraduate work at Pace University and, for the past 25 years, has owned a CPA practice in Bethel, CT. Marianne completed her undergraduate work at Western CT State University and has spent the last 30 years as a Nurse Practitioner for the Pulmonary Department of Danbury Hospital. Over the years Scott and Marianne have been actively involved in supporting Immaculate in various capacities including the IHS Alumni.
Realizing the importance of an Immaculate High School education, Scott and Marianne decided to enroll their daughter Megan at Immaculate. Because of the profound experience she had at Immaculate, daughter Jillian and son Drew were later enrolled. Marianne reflects, “Immaculate has had a tremendous impact on the entire Mitchell family and we are forever grateful. Once a Mustang, always a Mustang.”
Megan ’10 was heavily involved in the girls lacrosse team and the spring musicals at Immaculate. She graduated from Emerson College and is currently the morning news anchor at NBC in Cincinnati. Jillian is a 2014 graduate of IHS. She was also involved in the girls lacrosse team and was very involved in campus ministry. Jillian graduated from Iona College and is presently studying for her Masters in Speech Pathology at NYU. Drew is currently a Junior at IHS, involved in Student Council, Cross Country, Track and Field and the spring musicals.
The Annual Golf Tournament for Immaculate has always been a highlight for both Scott and Marianne. Scott has organized a foursome for the Golf Tournament for the last 20 years. Marianne began as a volunteer and has played in the past five years in her own foursome, despite her handicap of 30!
Immaculate High School is very grateful to Scott and Marianne for their support of the annual golf tournament and for all of their selfless support over the years.
