This program is an 8-day hands-on Science class designed to expose the student to the wide variety of biological concepts presented in our curriculum with an emphasis on reinforcing the student’s understanding of the scientific method.
Students will be exposed to various fields in science such as Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Ecology, Physics, Chemistry and Forensics through fun and engaging labs that introduce topics such as information to cells, cell theory, the properties of living organisms, energy production, energy relationships, and the central dogma of biology. Students will start right away by practicing designing, performing, and analyzing their own experiments based on one of the topics covered during the week and further develop skills in writing laboratory reports.

This program is an 8-day hands on science class designed to spark curiosity and expose prospective 8th graders to the wonders of science in their everyday lives. Chemistry is all around us and embodies our everyday life. Major processes that help us stay alive, help us make tasty food and power our electronic devices are all concepts created by chemistry.
Throughout the program the students will undergo fun and engaging labs that will introduce them to topics in chemistry such as acids and bases, toxicology, gas pressure, solutions, chemical reactions, the atom to only name a few.

Intro to Engineering is a fun and exciting hands-on program designed to introduce students to different fields of engineering.
Students will work in teams, to compete and solve problems such as designing a race car, building a hydraulic bridge, building a robotic hand, using solar and wind power to create renewable energy, using insulation to keep food fresh, building an earthquake resistant house and other projects.

The English program is designed to improve the student’s ability to analyze, synthesize, and make personal connections with literature. The curriculum develops the student's note-taking skills, reading comprehension, critical thinking, and written communication. Students will study the grammatical structure of the English language and apply literacy skills to fiction and non-fiction works. Student should be prepared with a notebook, a pen or pencil.

Juniors: You may have written the rough draft of your college essay, but what do you do now? This course will take you through the revision process through individual conferencing sessions. You will also receive guidance on crafting college-specific essays and the all-important supplemental essays required by many colleges now. We will also review writing the scholarship essays, necessary in your applications for various academic scholarships. This class will meet for 8 hours and offer academic counseling not only during this session but throughout the remainder of the summer as you continue to revise your original writings. Session I Monday, June 22 – Thursday, June 25 Time: 10am-12:15pm Room: 203 Cost: $250.00
