Our Fine Arts Department is committed to creating and supporting a diverse and advanced curriculum that encourages all students to reach their creative potential by developing an understanding and appreciation of the arts. The philosophy and mission of the Fine Arts program is to provide an opportunity for each and every student to discover an inner voice of self-expression using innovative, creative and problem solving skills.
The faculty of the Fine Arts Department is comprised of professional artists and scholars who share a passion for teaching and believe in a diverse and technologically advancing world where the arts reflect cultural complexities and values. The faculty members make every effort to collaborate and integrate the talents of students enrolled in the Fine Arts programs at school-scheduled events. Students from all grade levels participate in the programs offered by the Fine Arts Department.
Student musicians, singers and performers participate in numerous concerts, coffeehouses, ceremonies, plays, musicals and other events throughout the entire year. There are a variety of bands, choruses/choirs and a Drama Club for students to share their talents. Art students display their work at our Annual Art Show as well as in art competitions at the local, regional and State levels. Students exhibit their fine art projects and graphic art works at public venues and enter their work in juried contests.
