Sandwich Making for Dorothy Day

Immaculate Juniors William Doran and Jake Windas made sandwiches at home for distribution at the Dorothy Day House whose mission is to feed the hungry and homeless in the Danbury area. 

Girl Scout Food Drive

Girl Scout Food Drive

Juniors Anna Flaherty and Elise Quartaro, members of Ambassador Girl Scout Troop 50058, led a town-wide food drive in New Fairfield, collecting, sorting and delivering over 550 items to the New Fairfield Food Pantry. These items were used in Thanksgiving food distribution to members of the community in need.

 Sophia Pertoso ‘22 recently made and delivered 90 Thanksgiving cards to the Saint John Paul II Center for their residents. 

PJ Day for the Kids:

PJ Day For The Kids

Immaculate’s chapter of the National Honor Society held a fundraiser for PJ Day for the Kids, benefitting children and families at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center who are fighting cancer. A total of $1,530 was raised, thanks to the efforts of the entire Immaculate community. Immaculate participates in PJ Day for the Kids in honor of David Couch, a beloved Immaculate teacher who lost his battle with cancer. 

Elf on the Health Shelf

Tis the season for “ELF on a HEALTH SHELF.” Students in health class have submitted pictures of the well-known Elf in various healthy settings.  Mr. Plumb is sharing them with the students, faculty and staff, one by one throughout the holiday season.  Here are some samples of the festive healthy living reminders.

Multicultural Club Toy Drive

Multicultural Club Toy Drive

The Multicultural Club hosted a toy drive for Food First Inc. to provide 49 children between the ages of 0-18 with toys for Christmas. A special thank you to the Immaculate community for helping to collect toys for the children in need this holiday season! 

 

Theology Classes Ornament Project

In the beginning of this new liturgical year, theology students made an ornament and wrote how they will prepare for Christ's birth.  Students wrote a variety of ways, such as helping to decorate, making cookies, and being mindful of the nativity scene.
