Matthew's Hearts of Hope

Freshmen Michael Hatcher, Landon Pokrinchak and Tom Pilla made 50 pillows for the “Hug a Heart” Pillow Project started by Matthew’s Hearts of Hope. They delivered quilts and heart pillows for babies and toddlers at the New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital who have Congenital Heart Defects and undergo open-heart surgery.

Springtime Goodie Bags for Seniors 

Joe Wilson ‘22 recently delivered springtime goodie bags to senior residents in Danbury.

 

Eagle Scout Projects 

Regional Hospice Reconditioning

Will Doran '22 reconditioned the Memorial Garden at Regional Hospice in Danbury. Will chose Regional Hospice due to the outstanding care services they provided to his father shortly before his death in August 2019. 

Violet Catherine Hubbard Animal Sanctuary Birdhouses and Seeding

Nathanial Varda '22 will be helping the Violet Catherine Hubbard Animal Sanctuary in Newtown by organizing volunteers to build and install eight Eastern Bluebird houses, as well as hand seed two and a half acres of land with buckwheat, rye and meadow seeds as part of the meadow restoration project.
