Three Immaculate Teams Recognized As Top Programs In The State of Connecticut 

Three athletic teams have been recognized as top 10 programs over the last decade in the State of Connecticut. Girls Cross Country, Boys Basketball and Girls Soccer have been dominant and achieved 23 state championships and 5 State runner ups between them. Each team has been led by many talented All American, All New England, All State athletes that have left their mark on Immaculate athletics. Longtime coaches Brian Hayes (girls cross country) and Nelson Mingachos (girls soccer and boys basketball) have been recognized as Coaches of the Year. 

Girls XC

The Immaculate Girls Cross Country team is ranked as one of the greatest cross country teams of the last decade beginning in 2010 and ending with the 2019 season by MySportsResults.com. The Lady Mustangs earned 48 points and ranked 4th in the State of Connecticut. Over the past decade girls cross country teams were crowned State Champions six times, State runner up three times and Sate Open runner up in 2018.

MaxPreps ranked the IHS Boys basketball as one of the Top 10 most dominant programs of the last ten years in Connecticut. Girls Soccer Champs

CIAC nominated Immaculate Girls soccer as one of the top Dynasty teams of the first 100 years of the CIAC. They captured their first title in 1995, then went on to a dominant run in the 2000s, capturing 14 championships in all and 10 from 2003 to 2012 and then added three more in this decade. The Lady Mustangs made it to the championship round and led voting through four rounds in the CIAC Sports Dynasty Tournament.

Health and Wellness Center 

As we continue our commitment to educating the whole student, we are excited to announce that work on our brand new Health and Wellness Center is almost complete! Thanks to generous in-kind donations from an alumnus and parents of alumni, our new facility will include fitness equipment that will allow for strength-training as well as individual fitness classes for all students and staff.
