Girls Basketball Ranked #9 in Connecticut

It has been an exciting season for our Girls Basketball team and as Anthony Rendino put it, “It has been a season of firsts.” Including a first time being ranked 9th in the state! According to CT Insider: “The Mustangs are winning with a defense which has held seven opponents under 40 points.” See article by clicking here.

Freshmen on Fire

Brenan McCabe ‘26 broke the Freshman records in the 55m with a 7.17  and 300m with a 39.01. These times qualify him for States. According to the posted records on the records on Athletic.net, Sam Allen ’25 broke the Freshman record in the 1k with an amazing 3:03.33. Lorenzo Lopes ‘26 crushed the Freshman Mile recently, at the 12/17 Energice Coaches Hall of Fame Invitational with an impressive 4:45 qualifying him for the Nationals.  Lorenzo also set a freshman record recently in the 1600m, at the 12/16 North Shore Invitational with a time of 4:40.32. We have records for that going back as far as 2015, and every freshman distance runner since then has run the 1600 at some point.

The Mustangs Indoor Track team met again this past Saturday at the Armory Track in NYC. One of the highlights of the day was the boys DMR (Distance Medley Relay) which set a new school record and qualified for the Rising Stars DMR at the New Balance Indoor Nationals.  The DMR Team was Cole Ross ‘23, Lorenzo Lopes ‘26, Seamus Reidy ‘23 and Ben Gasparrini ‘23.

We love the support our students show one another.

Every Day is Good Day for Hockey!

Early this month our alumni met on the ice for the annual Immaculate Alumni Hockey game at Danbury Ice Arena. This 4 vs. 4 battle drew quite a crowd of spectators. Our Alumni played hard and enjoyed a lot of laughs in the process. Thank you for everyone that turned out to enjoy the ice time!
