After a year of interruptions and rescheduling, the most anticipated Immaculate fall sports season became a reality. We have much to shout out about our student-athletes and their commendable success.
 


With a regular season of 11-4-2, this is the twentieth straight year that the girls soccer team has achieved qualifying for the state tournament. Girls will be trying to win the school’s thirteenth State Championship starting Monday, November 8.

Despite many injuries during the regular season, boys soccer finished 9-8-1 which qualified them for SWC league and state tournaments. The team rose into the upper echelon of a very difficult SWC after key wins against Newtown, Bethel, and Pomperaug. Numerous players received accolades for their play this season and the team earned the sportsmanship award for their play this season. Starting center back and captain Anthony Reyes was selected to the all SWC team. During the SWC Tournament, boys won their first round game vs Brookfield 2-0 and played an outstanding game vs Barlow in the semi-finals but came up short 1-0. The boys will be entering the State tournament this coming Tuesday, time and location to be announced. They will be trying to win the school's third state title in boys’ soccer!

Currently our ATI football team is 3-3 with a two-game winning streak. The team had a big 40-6 homecoming game win vs O’Brien Tech and they look forward to finishing the season strong to have the possibility of playing in the state tournament.

Our girls field hockey finished the regular season at 8-8-0-1, qualifying for the SWC League and State Tournaments but lost in the first round in the SWC Field Hockey Tournament to the #1 Seed Newtown 3-0. Girls are looking forward to the state tournament to begin on Tuesday, November 9 with time and location to be announced. The team will be trying to win the school’s second state title in Field Hockey!

Our boys and girls cross country teams had another great year qualifying for both league and State Tournaments. In the State Tournament girls finished third with Keelin Bremner placing 3rd ,Kayla Ondy placing 6th, Jenna Saidmana placing 24th, Caitlin Conley placing 32nd, Isabel Taiaman placing 48th, Caitlyn Mascetta placing 66th and Kylie Macancela placing 79th. Our boys finished 3rd with the following Seamus Reidy placing 3rd,Matthew Reeves finishing 20th, Trevor Fuller finishing 23rd, Cole Ross finishing 28th, Canaan Sturdevant finishing 35th and Hunter Brown finishing 41st. Kayala Ondy, Keelin Bremner, and Seamus Reidy will be competing in the state championships on Friday, November 5.

Girls swim finished the regular season strong with a 7-3 record. Girls look forward to this Saturday, November 6 as they compete in the SWC championship and hope to bring some gold back home with them. Girls have also qualified for the state tournament that will start on November 13. Currently, they have seven qualified swimmers for State Championships and 12 for SWC Championships, which will take place this Saturday. Please come out and support the girls 3:30pm at Masuk High School. 

In its first fall season, the boys golf team finished with a 9-7 record and finished 7th in the SWC golf championships. Boys qualified for the State Tournament once again this year, placing 10th.

Volleyball finished the season at 7-13 and were just a game short of qualifying for the State Tournament. Coaches and players are excited for next year as the majority of the team members will be returning for the Lady Mustangs.

Cheerleaders continue to support and cheer our football program each week. This past weekend they had their Pink Out Day, which raised $292.00 to help Ann’s Place in Danbury.
