Golden Mustang Mass & Lunch

We recently welcomed back our Golden Mustangs from the Classes of 1966 - 1970! Our guests had the opportunity to view the newly renovated Monsignor John B. Hossan Chapel, with Mass celebrated by Father Joe Cervero of St. Patrick’s Church in Redding. Student vocalists and instrumentals provided beautiful music for the Mass, allowing our alumni to see the talent and reverence of today’s Mustangs. After Mass, all enjoyed lunch in the Dining Hall with the student body, followed by a tour of our new Biology, Chemistry and Physics labs. Thank you to Sarah Almeida ‘20, Erica Penny ‘20, Vincent Fontenelli ‘21, Sara MacKinnon ‘22, Lilly Zuccala ‘22 and our wonderful Chorus teacher, Mrs. Doherty, for providing beautiful music at the Mass. It was another great day to be a Mustang alum!

Alumni Spotlight - Linus Jia ‘17

Congratulations to IHS graduate Linus Jia ‘17 for having two articles recently published by the China-based Red Star magazine, where he was responsible for writing, layout, design and photography. Linus was part of our International Student Program, and was quick to credit his success to the training he received from Immaculate teachers including Mrs. Quinn, Mrs. Kohler, Mrs. Howe and Mrs. Wilde. Linus shared that he would not have had the confidence to take on this assignment had he not been prepared so well by his Immaculate teachers.  CLICK HERE for the magazine articles (pages 11-13 and 26-27). Congratulations Linus and best wishes for continued success!
