We invite all alumni in the D.C. and Philly areas to join us as our guests from 6-8pm! Please register at www.immaculatehs.org/ontheroad

2020 Reunions

This past year held many fantastic IHS reunions! We are incredibly grateful to all of the alumni who helped to coordinate these events, as well as to those who attended and supported their reunion class gifts. Our Chapel continues to undergo renovations thanks to the generosity of our graduates. If you are ever in the Danbury area and have time to stop in to see the Chapel, please contact Denise Suarez, Director of Alumni Relations, at dsuarez@myimmaculatehs.org. Take a look at our photo gallery to see pictures from recent reunion events!

ALL 2020 REUNIONS WILL BE BOOKED BY FEBRUARY 1! Thank you to the Class of 1980 for getting their event on the calendar for Saturday, June 27 at Ridgewood Country Club. We are still seeking alumni from the classes of 1990, 2000, 2005 and 2010 to help plan their reunions. Please contact Denise Suarez, Director of Alumni Relations, at dsuarez@myimmaculatehs.org as soon as possible if you are interested in helping. All dates and venues must be finalized soon so that they can be included in the alumni print newsletter and alumni can plan accordingly.

Alumni Panel Shares Their College Experiences

Each year a group of recent graduates returns to Immaculate to share their college-related experiences with juniors and seniors who are beginning their process or currently trying to choose which college to attend. This alumni panel offered valuable advice and relatable insights to their fellow Mustangs, explaining how classes are scheduled, how homework, essays and testing are “different” than high school and more, such as learn good time-management and study skills now, don’t apply to too many colleges and it’s ok if you don’t get accepted into your top choice -- you will still be happy wherever you go, carefully consider how living far from home you really can handle and keep in touch with your Immaculate friends, they will always be important to you.

Thank you to our most recent alumni who made up the Alumni Panel for taking the time to share their experiences with current Mustangs:

Emma Baughman (Ave Maria), Colby Bellone (Cornell University), Spencer Brown (Mount St. Mary University), Kristen Cirone (University of Notre Dame), Frank Chieffalo (Western Connecticut State University), Zach Demko (Springfield College), Ryan Fanella (University of Notre Dame), Bart Flaherty (University of Connecticut), Daniel Impellizzeri (Emmanuel College), Nicole Maewsky (Pace University), Victoria McFarlin (Springfield College), Parker McKenzie (University of Connecticut), Michael Ryan (Eastern Connecticut State University), Angela Saidman (Columbia University) and James Vigar (Roger Williams University).

Thoughts From Our Recent Young Alumni:

“Immaculate prepared me academically to excel in college through passionate teachers who were always available to answer questions and work through problems. Overall, Immaculate was a great fit for me – a place where I could belong and excel.”  Natalie Dudas  - Villanova University

“I will always remember my time at Immaculate fondly. I am beyond grateful for the friendships and experiences that I’ve been involved in through Immaculate. I will always be a proud Mustang.”  Colby Bellone - Cornell University

“My favorite memory from Immaculate was winning the first boys cross country State championship for the school. Immaculate prepared me for college by getting my mind and spirit in the best state possible.”  Parker McKenzie - University of Connecticut

“Immaculate High School provided me with a strong education, set in a Catholic foundation, within a welcoming and caring atmosphere. The small size of the school fostered a strong sense of community filled with many chances to be a leader and get to know faculty. I am grateful for my time as a Mustang and would recommend IHS to anyone looking for a chance to grow as a person and be prepared for college and beyond.”  Angela Saidman - Columbia University

“Having come from a public school in New Milford and learning how to transition as a freshman at Immaculate, I found that making friends and transitioning into college life was easy. I didn’t know a single student on my first day at IHS, but was able to excel.”  Ryan Fanella ‘19 - University of Notre Dame

“Immaculate provided academic challenges that reinforced my love for learning and set me up for success in college.”  Daniel Impellizzeri ‘19 - Emmanuel College
