Accepted Student Night Welcomes New IHS Families

Eighth grade students and their families attended Accepted Student Night on Wednesday, January 9 at IHS. Students from the Class of 2023 celebrated being accepted to Immaculate and the fact that they can now be Mustangs in September 2019. The night was one of celebration and information, and getting to know each other and strike up new friendships.

Parents and accepted students were divided into two groups at first, with parents participating in an informational session with IHS administration and faculty members in the Bobby Plumb Gymnasium. Students gathered in the Learning Commons, where they were able to ask questions important to them and get answers from a panel of current IHS students. IHS Chaplain Deacon Jeff Font and Social Studies teacher Wendy Neil moderated the panel and also answered questions and explained what it is like to be a student at our respected Catholic college-preparatory high school.

After the information sessions, accepted students got to meet each other and have their pictures taken with none other than the famous Immaculate Mustang, who galloped in to meet everyone. Finally, everyone joined together to enjoy a delicious pasta dinner and dessert and begin the bonding that continues forever: “Once a Mustang, Always a Mustang!” Thank you to all who attended and participated, and to the Immaculate Parents Association for helping sponsor the event.
