Mustang Monthly

The season of Lent at Immaculate has continued with daily penitential prayers and almsgiving efforts for the Dorothy Day Hospitality House as well as the annual American Red Cross Blood Drive sponsored by Student Council. Students, teachers and staff have had the opportunity to pray every morning in the Chapel, to pray during Adoration hours in the Chapel and thanks to our local parish clergy, participated in Lenten Reconciliation. On March 22, students joined thousands of people at the State Capitol in Hartford for the annual Right to Life March.  Students will begin their Holy Week with a Stations of the Cross prayer service offered by Father Philip, our Chaplain.

For many of us, March may be known as ‘March Madness’ but at Immaculate it is also known as Music in Our Schools Month! Music could be heard in the halls, during daily entertainment in the cafeteria and even each Monday with our “Mystery Staff Singer” during morning announcements. Some of our students were also able to share their many musical talents at our Open Mic Night.

A tremendous thank you to all of you who joined us at our Diamond Gala. The evening was filled with a lot of fun, including some great live and silent auction items to raise the funds necessary to support our mission to provide an excellent Catholic college-preparatory experience for our students. A warm congratulations to David J. Cappiello,’86 recipient of our Nancy K. Dolan award for his tremendous leadership roles at Immaculate and in our Danbury community and to Jo-Anne Price ’66, recipient of our Distinguished Service award for her service at Immaculate and the Ridgefield and Danbury communities. If you were unable to join us, there are still many ways for you to contribute. Simply click here to learn how you can make a difference for our students.
