A Note From Administration

During this month of Thanksgiving, students have participated in a number of community service activities that help those in our community. Over 80 students participated in the Brookfield Rake 'N Bake, raking leaves at the homes of the elderly, and there is an on-going cereal drive for the Dorothy Day Hospitality House in Danbury. In addition, students expressed their thanks for our veterans in a special Veterans Tribute where prayer, testimonies and song saluted both alumni, teachers and resident veterans as well Mayor Boughton for their selfless dedication to serving our country. We were most honored to have alumnus and Acting Commissioner for the Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs Tom Saadi '88 as our very inspirational Keynote Speaker.

We were very fortunate to have inspirational speaker Gary Guller present to our students about his challenging, compelling personal story about climbing to the top of the world. Guller shared his thankfulness for all of the support that he has received over the years by those even less fortunate than him. He encouraged students to think about always caring for each other and make improving the life of someone else a priority. "It is important to look at another's heart before judging." In keeping with the spirit of Thanksgiving, we are most appreciative to the members of the school community and our School Advisory Board for their commitment in establishing a viable strategic plan that focuses on the vitality and sustainability of our school mission and vision. Have a very blessed Thanksgiving celebration with your family and friends,
