In the Roman Catholic tradition, Immaculate High School fosters the development of the whole student by nurturing individual spiritual, moral, intellectual, physical and social growth through an academically rigorous college preparatory curriculum that encourages respect, responsibility, reverence, creativity and leadership.
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE IMMACULATE SCHOOL MISSION STATEMENT
Immaculate High School consciously focuses on meeting the standards defined by the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools:
In addition to promoting the value of a Christian life, we strive for an increased growth in knowledge, commitment and awareness of each student’s spiritual life through daily Adoration. Special liturgical celebrations and prayer services, participation in local Parish events, ministries, sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist, and accelerated religious education programs, reflect our deep school commitment to instill respect, responsibility and reverence.
To establish a collaborative, energetic learning environment where all students engage respectfully with one another, students expand their world view, sense of global responsibility through course disciplines that identify cultural diversity and belief systems. Daily intercultural understanding, compassion, empathy and respect in our school community and beyond include authentic educational dialogue and insight to develop a deeper understanding of current world issues, social justice and problem-solving strategies.
To provide a firm foundation for academic growth and to prepare our students to confidently meet the challenges of an ever-changing world, we expect students to have mastered their studies to the best of their abilities. Programs in all course disciplines utilize the diocesan, national and state guidelines to fulfill prescribed rigorous scope and sequence.
