Georgia Orlando

WELCOME OUR NEW SCHOOL COUNSELOR
Immaculate High School would like to welcome Mrs. Georgia Orlando to the Counseling Department! Mrs. Orlando graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters in School Counseling. She worked as a school counselor in Westport for eight years. In 2012, Mrs. Orlando had to resign from that position due to her husband’s job relocation out of state. Since moving back to her hometown of Monroe, she filled in as a long-term school counselor substitute position in Bethel.

Mrs. Orlando states: “I am extremely excited for the opportunity to work at Immaculate High School. Upon interviewing, I was impressed with the family-like environment and the emphasis of teamwork. I look forward to guiding students in making good choices, achieving their goals, and building the confidence they need during and after high school. I am thrilled to work with this age group and watch them progress academically, personally and socially through these crucial years. Their excitement, enthusiasm and curiosity about what the future holds is fun to be a part of and witness. I look forward to being a part of their support system along the way. I feel fortunate to have met such wonderful families already and will make every effort to ensure each student is as successful as they can be during their time at Immaculate High School.”

Mrs. Orlando is married with three children (ages 10, 7 and 4). They are a huge soccer family and enjoy watching their kids play on weekends. She loves spending time with her family and traveling.
