Support The Front Entrance Project

Discussions about re-designing the Immaculate High School’s front entrance began in 2012. After much planning and financial support from so many friends of Immaculate, work is underway on a project aimed at making Immaculate High School a safer place for students, faculty and guests.

Although aesthetics were considered as a reason for the front entrance to be re-constructed, the construction is mainly being done to ensure that anyone coming into the school must go to the front office. The entrance has been extended so that there will be a clear line of sight from the office to anyone coming into the building. The project will put Immaculate High School in compliance with what is now a standard in school building design. The front entrances are clearly marked and have what is called a secure vestibule. The new entrance will have two sets of doors and will allow the office to identify individuals prior to entering the vestibule as well as into the building.

In addition to the building construction, funds are still being raised to enhance the walkways and to address the need to improve front entrance parking for handicapped persons and for drop-off.
