Explore Program

BE A RESOURCE

Immaculate High School's Explore Program invites you to serve as a resource for our students by sharing your time and talent with us. You have successfully completed your program of study, launched a fulfilling career, and you know what it took to get there. You can share your advice and expertise with current Mustangs and other alumni who may be interested in following your path. We invite our alumni to come back, speak to a class, host a student for a job shadow day, provide an internship opportunity, or hire a fellow alumnus. We appreciate your willingness to give back to IHS and value the opportunity to learn from our alumni. If you have any questions regarding the options below, please contact Jeannie Demko '88, Director of Alumni Relations at jdemko@myimmaculatehs.org. We treasure your time and talent and hope you'll share it with us!

Alumni in the Classroom

Did you have a great experience at Immaculate and want to give back to help current students? Do you want to share your professional expertise with students in the classroom, or virtually as we conduct online distance learning? Interested in growing your resume with a speaking engagement? Share your professional experiences and insights with students in the classroom. Faculty are always looking for new ways to enhance student experiences and instruction by bringing real-world practitioners into the classroom. Alumni guest speakers provide insights that give current students a firsthand look at potential college majors and future career possibilities.

Internships

Internships allow students to enhance their skills and apply classroom knowledge to a professional environment. They offer a supervised, short-term experience in a career field of interest. Internships can help students confirm or clarify their career goals, gain practical work experience, and develop industry contacts.

Job Shadow Days

We are always looking for interesting sites to bring a group of students and faculty/staff to visit, or offering a full or half day job shadow opportunity for a current student. During these visits, the host typically arranges a tour and provides the chance to hear firsthand about the industry and specific roles/responsibilities.

Career Day

Career Day brings Immaculate alumni, faculty and friends together in a great morning in which presenters talk to students in a round-robin of classroom presentations about their industries, daily job responsibilities, etc. This event happens every year, in the spring.

Become a Resource Today

If you have knowledge, skills or ideas you would like to share with our students, please complete the form below. Many current students (and alums) are simply looking for mentors to ask questions about working in specific fields. Check all that apply.
