Distinguished Service Award Recipient
Jennifer E. Rosenblum
Jennifer Rosenblum is a big believer in volunteerism. She has made vast volunteer contributions, including serving as a past President of the Immaculate High School Parent Association (IPA) and as a past member of the hospitality committee, the Mustang All Sports Club (MASC) and of the IHS Enrollment Committee, to name a few.
Jennifer graduated in three years from Marymount College of Virginia in 1980 with a BBA in Marketing and Business Management. No stranger to long hours and dedication to organizational excellence, Jennifer honed her important skills while building her 15 year career in many facets of retail management. During her successful retail career, Jennifer was a department manager, floor manager, store manager, buyer and designer for Saks Fifth Avenue, Talbots and Williams-Sonoma.
While raising her two children, Jennifer realized that volunteering at school events was important to all. She started by serving as a Trustee for The Melrose School and as President, Vice President and Secretary of the school’s Parent Association. She chaired their Annual Gala which grew from an $11,000 annual event to one that raised nearly $85,000 during the five years of her direction.
When her children entered high school, Jennifer continued her commitment to volunteering and served on the Immaculate High School Parent Association, where she was known for her philosophy that “no job is too big or too small” and as a “role up your sleeves” type of person who gets the job done, as she truly loves organizing events for the benefit of the community. Bringing her retail experience to Immaculate, Jennifer grew the Mustang Wear program and expanded its offerings to include an exclusive design of Vineyard Vines items. She also launched the annual Grandparents and Special Persons Day event.
Jennifer and her husband Sam are the proud parents of Immaculate High School alumni Samantha ’14 and Andrew ’15. Jennifer is stepmother of two and grandmother of five.
When not supporting IHS and its athletic programs, Jennifer and Sam are busy with their company JES Management, a commercial real estate firm. Jennifer also serves on her neighborhood association board. When her volunteer and work life allow free time, Jennifer enjoys traveling with her husband, watching Alabama football and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
