Healing Hearts Good Grief Summer Camp
Students of the Campus Ministry have joined together to assist Healing Hearts with their first annual Good Grief Summer Camp, scheduled for July 11 through 14. Located at the Regional Hospice and Home Care Center in Danbury, Healing Hearts is a place for emotional healing—where individuals and families are provided support from social workers, trained volunteers, and more importantly, other grieving people. Healing Hearts is the only program of its kind to service Western Connecticut and nearby New York and is solely funded by donations. More than 30 different programs, support groups, social groups, workshops and memorial events for children, adults, families and caregivers occur regularly throughout the year. Through education, support groups and workshops, children and families have a safe place to begin healing. They start to understand their feelings as they face the challenge of rebuilding their lives with meaning and hope.
The cost of providing the camp to children ages 4 through 14 is $2,500. If you would like to help support the efforts of the Immaculate High School students, please see below to contribute to this very important event.
