Academics

The academic programs offered at Immaculate High School are designed to prepare the whole student for college and beyond. We offer an extensive, rigorous NEASC accredited program that exceeds the Diocese of Bridgeport and state curricula.

Students have an opportunity to enroll in numerous honors and AP classes as well as distance learning programs. Faculty and staff work together to create an engaging community that encourages students to develop and master the skills needed to become lifelong learners who live their Catholic faith.

The IHS Guidance Department provides numerous services to assist students with academic planning and support services so that they may exceed beyond their own expectations. Our extracurricular programs enhance classroom learning and allow students to expand their interests, broaden their experiences and to become global leaders.

As a result of our excellent academic offerings, our students have been recognized for maintaining the highest SAT scores in the Diocese as well as achieving beyond the state and national averages on both the ACT and SAT assessments.

Immaculate High School's care of the whole student, beyond the classroom academics, is a key aspect of the school's culture. The school pays attention to preparing their students to the many aspects of college life to make their transitions as easy as possible. The encouragement for each student to be their best and to embrace their own specific strengths allows every student to thrive in their own individual way. IHS helps students find their niche in the world.
