Overview

The Fine Arts Department is committed to creating and supporting a diverse and advanced curriculum that encourages all students to reach their potential by developing an understanding and appreciation of the arts. The philosophy and mission of the Fine Arts program is to provide an opportunity for each and every student to discover an inner voice of self-expression using innovative, creative and problem solving skills.

The faculty of the Fine Arts Department is comprised of professional artists and scholars who share a passion for teaching and believe in a diverse and technologically advancing world where the arts reflect cultural complexities and values. The faculty members make every effort to collaborate and integrate the talents of students enrolled in the Fine Arts programs at school scheduled events. Over 100 students from all grade levels participate in the programs offered by the Fine Arts Department.

Concerts conducted throughout the year include: Patriotic Concert, Christmas Concert, Cabaret, Improv Night, Coffeehouses, and a Spring Musical.

To further the engagement of students in the performing arts, the Drama Club hosts an annual fall drama production.

An Annual Art Show as well as art competitions at both the state, regional and local levels are offered to students beginning at Freshman year. Students exhibit their work at public venues and enter their work into juried contests.
