It is an honor and a privilege to be a member of the leadership team at Immaculate High School. The enthusiasm of our school faculty, guidance counselors, and staff to challenge our students to become accomplished scholars, engineers, athletes, artists, and responsible citizens is infectious. As you walk through the pages of this website, I know that you will gain a tremendous insight about our extraordinary community that resides in the highly ranked 'places to live', the City of Danbury, and why we are ranked among the top ten Catholic schools in Connecticut.
In accordance with the vision of the Bishop of the Diocese of Bridgeport, Most Reverend Frank J. Caggiano, the goal of the mission of Immaculate High School is to build spiritual bridges, to serve others and to strengthen our students in faith and in love. As a Catholic school, Immaculate provides students an opportunity to grow in their faith and understanding of the teachings of the Church as well as put their faith into action by servicing others. We welcome students of all faiths, believing that conscious reflection leads to spiritual maturity and commitment to serve others.
Immaculate High School provides a challenging, rigorous college preparatory academic program within its faith-based environment. Dedicated staff and teachers are committed to ensuring that every student succeeds and is encouraged to exceed beyond their own expectations. Students maintain academic excellence through a well-balanced, integrated curriculum that surpasses national, state and diocesan standards. Academic programs include an impressive slate of Advanced Placement courses, biomedical engineering, computer programming and more. Educational programs are enhanced by selected contemporary pedagogy and state-of-the-art technology as well as ongoing self-evaluation.
The size of our school community and holistic educational approach allows us to be student-centered and to focus on providing integrated programs that offer students the ability to develop their personal, unique talents and gifts. Our students are involved, are encouraged and recognized publicly for their achievements in the classroom, academic competitions, community service, on the field, and on the stage. Students graduate from Immaculate High School with authentic confidence that they are prepared for their college years and beyond.
Our Admissions Office is pleased to make arrangements for prospective students to visit and attend classes. Our Alumni and Development Office extends a standing invitation to any graduate of the school to come back and visit, join us for lunch or take a tour to recapture some Mustang moments and to see how IHS has progressed. The school's Advancement Team coupled with the IHS Parent Association and School Advisory Board members are working diligently to prepare for some fun and exciting events and campaigns to celebrate our 50th Anniversary.
We pride ourselves on our ability to prepare young men and women to be intelligent and thoughtful leaders. I invite you to visit the school and this website to learn more about how Immaculate High School's excellent faith-based education prepares each student for a successful, bright future!
