ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP BREAKFAST

There are over 470 students who are thriving at Immaculate High School today and over 51% of them receive financial aid. Every single one of those students is a reason to attend or support our Annual Scholarship Breakfast on Friday, October 14 at 7:30 a.m. at the Amber Room in Danbury. The steadfast and compassionate support of our alumni guarantees stability for our students regardless of their family's financial situation. We see the generosity of your support in the faces of our students every day. Tickets are $25pp or you can sponsor a table of 10 for $250. If you are unable to attend, there are sponsorships available. Please register by Monday, October 10Thank you for your support!

"The support of my scholarship donors has meant everything to me. It has given me the opportunity to excel in both the classroom and extracurricular activities. They have also helped get me to college.  Without their generosity and thoughtfulness I don't know if I would be in the position that I am in today."

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT

MEAGAN CANN '03

In September, Meagan opened a shop called Workspace Collective on Main Street in Danbury that shares space in the back of the Cultural Alliance Western Connecticut. It is a new retail and design co-op that offers customers and designers a space to connect. "The shop offers the best in artisan made and locally designed clothing, jewelry and unique home finds. Local designers will host workshops exemplifying how they create their designs, adding an element of mindfulness in people's purchases," shared Meagan.

ALUMNI ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCEMENT

JOE SULLIVAN '83 - PRESIDENT

We extend a warm welcome to our new President of the Alumni Association, Joe Sullivan '83.  Joe has been a Class Representative, Reunion Organizer and Co-Chair of the 50th Anniversary Planning Committee. We are grateful to Joe for accepting the invitation to join the School Advisory Board Alumni Committee and to head the Alumni Association. We would like to thank Brian McGovern '89 for his years of service as our most recent President. Without the dedication and commitment of our alumni, the goal of reconnecting our graduates with each other and with IHS could not be possible.

The Class of '90 remembers and honors their friend Ben Bisbano at the 15th Annual BGO. Pictured L-R are Sean Curran, Jeremy Matz, John Ashkar and Jeff Previdi.

A scholarship fund to honor Donald J. Hassiak, a 16-year veteran of the Danbury Police Department was established. Hassiak was killed by a drunk driver in a tragic hit and run car accident when reporting to duty on June 3, 2010. With the consent of the Hassiak family, Hayes, also a Danbury Police Officer, agreed to have the proceeds of the Turkey Trot support the Donald J. Hassiak Scholarship.
