Alumni Spotlight

Brandi (Gray) Wirz '04

Pictured are Brian Wirz '04 and Brandi (Gray) Wirz '04 with their two children.

After graduating from Immaculate in 2004, and earning her Bachelor's Degree in Early Chldhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education, Brandi learned about the "Reggio Emilia Approach" to education, which emphasizes respect for the natural world, children, teachers and cultures. Brandi ran a childcare center out of her home for three years after becoming pregnant with her first child.  She decided this year to open "The Natural Learning Community Children's School."  The school is an ecofriendly, play based, child-centred institution located in Simsbury, CT.  Congratulations Brandi and best wishes for much success in what looks to be a wonderful new school in Connecticut!  Mustang pride!
