Alumni Spotlight ~ Leo Gallagher '77
Leo Gallagher '77, back in the day! Today, Leo volunteers as President of Brotherhood in Action.
For 35 years, Brotherhood-In-Action has been providing local families with food and supplies to make it through the holiday season. Last week, the organization kicked off the annual three-day Thanksgiving distribution to some 90 families in the Bethel, CT area who might otherwise be forced to do without necessities, never mind holiday treats. Leo Gallagher serves as the President of the organization. "It's a great organization that is totally run by volunteers," said Leo. "We have no employees; all of the money that comes in we donate." When asked about the influence that Immaculate High School had on his future volunteer efforts, Leo responded, "Everyone at Immaculate volunteered while I was at school. Being surrounded by it, I learned how important it was to care for those in your community."
Leo, thank you for being a wonderful role model for Immaculate students of today. Mustang pride!

Alumni Mass & Breakfast ~ Thank you to Monsignor Hossan (first principal of IHS) and Father Jeff (IHS Spiritual Director) for celebrating our first Sunday Mass for alumni. Alumni lit candles to remember deceased loved ones at the start of the Mass. The voices of the IHS Concert Choir filled the chapel with beautiful music, led by Fine Arts Director, Mary Raymond '77. Our students said the readings and served on the altar. Following the Mass, alumni and their families were treated to breakfast courtesy of the IHS Alumni Association in appreciation for all that our alumni do for Immaculate High School! Thank you to the approximately 75+ guests that joined us. It was another special day at Immaculate.
