The 3rd Annual Candace Lee Williams 5K Run to Remember & Kids Fun Run

Pictured here are IHS alums/race organizers, Lauren Memoli, Kate Resendes, Amy Martins, Beth Gingras, and Alyson Halas.

Candace Lee Williams '99, lost her life on American Airlines Flight 11 on 9/11/01.  She was 20 years old and going into her 3rd year at Northeastern University.  Alumni from Immaculate (pictured above) have organized a race to remember their dear friend Candace, and all those lost in connection with 9-11-01.

This year's event is going to be better then ever, as a kids fun run has been added, called the "winged run" which will include a wing decorating station before the run for kids to then wear while running. It will be a family friendly event with live music and entertainment, awards, food, and the raffle. Proceeds are donated to the Candace Lee Williams Scholarship Fund at Immaculate and Tuesday's Children First Responders Alliance Program. Please visit for all of the details regarding this great event being held on Saturday morning, September 13th at Tarrywile Park in Danbury.  Registration is $25 per person, $10 per child for the Fun Run.

Save the Date ~ Classes of the '60's Mass & Luncheon at Immaculate High School ~ Friday, September 19th

September 2013 ~ '66 and '67 alumni celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the first week of school in the Immaculate High School building.

This picture was taken outside of Immaculate High School on September 18, 2013.  A great group of '66 and '67 alumni joined us for a trip down memory lane, as they walked the halls of IHS, celebrated Mass in the chapel with Monsignor Hossan and had lunch in the cafeteria.  A great morning was enjoyed by all who attended, so this year we decided to include all four classes from the '60's ('66, '67, '68 and '69).  Mark your calendars and keep a lookout for invitations coming in August.  We are excited to welcome Monsignor Hossan back to IHS to celebrate the Mass.  The event is hosted by the IHS Alumni Association.  You are our guests!

The 25th Annual Immaculate High School Golf Outing at Richter Park

IHS alumna Kathleen O'Rourke '81, Marianne (Urkiel) Mitchell '81, Jennifer (Brockelman) Lynch '79, and Debbie (Caravetta) Burke '79 enjoying a great day of golf at the outing last fall.

This has become an annual event chock full of alumni!!!  Please click here for more information on how to register for the event, or for sponsorship opportunities. The outing takes place on Wednesday, September 24th, and foursomes are filling up fast.  Last year we sold out, so don't delay!

Alumni Spotlight

Ashley Plumb '06

Pictured are Bob Plumb and his daughter Ashley in Nashville, TN.  We asked Ashley to tell us in her own words about her upcoming plans, her experience at IHS and what things this great alumna has come back to at Immaculate.

"I am doing a two-year graduate program at Peabody College of Education and Human Development at Vanderbilt University where I will earn a Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education and qualify to become certified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. I have a fellowship at Susan Gray School (, an on-campus research-oriented school where I will work twenty+ hours/week with very young children with developmental disabilities and their typical peers. Immaculate High School fosters the "whole person" and I am proud to call myself a Mustang. I grew academically, socially, and spiritually while I was a student at Immaculate, and I continue the relationships I developed there with my classmates and the faculty, as well. Since I graduated from Immaculate, I have attended the incredible spring musicals and other musical performances, graduations, the Gala, an alumni summer social, and many, many sporting events where I am Tyler Plumb's ('16) and Coach Plumb's number one fan!"
